Restoring African Knowledge Systems
The Afrodeities Institute CIC is a registered research and delivery institution. We recover, codify, and deploy African knowledge systems as usable intelligence for organisations, educators, cultural institutions, and funders. Our frameworks are not supplementary. They are structural.

Our Vision
We are building toward a world where African knowledge systems are recognised as the governance, scientific, and philosophical architectures they always were. Not marginalised mythology. Civilisational infrastructure. The Afrodeities Institute exists to make that case rigorously, and to deliver it practically.
Cultural Memory Tools
We create living archives and educational tools that bring ancestral knowledge into contemporary life. Through storytelling, workshops, and codified mythologies, we reconnect communities with African systems of justice, beauty, and belonging.
This was born from the work of Afrodeities.org, and the CIC will carry out the mission conceived in the building of it.
Our tools include:
– The Afrodeities Codex (foundational myth volumes)
– The Correctives (narrative overlays to restore truth)
– The Connectives (diasporic bridges across space and time)
– Public storytelling events, learning resources, and archival fragments
Together, these tools help build a civic memory strong enough to hold the past and imagine the future.
Our Work is for You
The Afrodeities Institute does not create for an audience. It creates with a purpose. Our programmes, research, and cultural tools are built for the people who need what we carry.
Organisations and Institutions CIOs, Chief People Officers, and transformation leads running programmes that fail at the human layer. We bring a genuinely different intellectual framework that diagnoses the actual problem.
Schools and Educators To bring civic, ecological, and mythic learning into classrooms, assemblies, and cultural programming. Curricula commissioned from £500.
Universities and Research Partners Collaborative research, curriculum frameworks, and academic partnerships in African intellectual history, decolonial methodology, and knowledge systems.
Funders and Grant Bodies Bold, structured, high-impact projects with measurable outcomes and living impact. Full research and delivery record available.
Diaspora Families and Cultural Organisations To build connective tissue between the UK, Nigeria, Brazil, Haiti, the Caribbean, the US, and beyond.
Partners Co-hosted workshops, codex readings, myth-corrective panels, creative sessions, and living archive collaborations shaped to your community's needs.
Institutions, Writers, & Collaborators
Universities and Cultural Institutions We offer keynote talks, curriculum-aligned workshops, and collaborative residencies for authors, educators, and researchers exploring African myth, civic memory, and cultural repair. Whether you are looking to platform ancestral wisdom, enrich a programme, or deepen engagement across diasporic topics, we bring twenty years of research and delivery.
Conferences and Festivals Invite Chinenye Egbuna Ikwuemesi, author, researcher, and founder of the Afrodeities Institute CIC, to speak on: restoring erased mythologies, diaspora memory and cultural futures, African cosmology as civic design, and storytelling as resistance, refuge, and revelation.
Writers and Creative Programmes We support residencies and mentorship opportunities for writers, griots, artists, and memory-keepers who wish to work within the Afrodeities framework. Whether you are just discovering the depth of African mythology or building your next novel, we provide thematic guidance, access to the Codex, and community-based inspiration.
Opportunities to Learn and Create Want to create new work based on African mythology? We offer: thematic residencies, Codex-based prompts, cultural myth guides, access to archival insights, co-writing sessions, and public showcases.
