Amplifying African Mythology
We are a UK-based Community Interest Company devoted to restoring and amplifying African mythology as a public good. Through storytelling, civic programming, workshops, and cultural memory tools, we reconnect diasporic and African communities with ancestral wisdom, rooted in justice, beauty, and myth.
We are building a living archive, public programmes, and educational offerings for young people, elders, educators, artists, and cultural institutions who believe that Africa’s stories deserve centre stage. Learn more about our mission below or contact us to collaborate.

Restoring African Mythology Together
The Afrodeities Institute is dedicated to amplifying African mythology as a tool for cultural restoration and civic imagination. Through storytelling, workshops, and strategic partnerships, we reconnect diasporic and African communities rooted in justice and beauty. We deliver public programming, storytelling workshops, and myth-led educational content that centres African cosmology as a living system of meaning.

Our Vision
We imagine a world where African myth is no longer marginalised, but recognised as sacred epistemology—informing education, justice, ecological thought, and collective futures. The Afrodeities Institute exists to make that world real—one codex, one community, one myth at a time.
Cultural Memory Tools
We create living archives and educational tools that bring ancestral knowledge into contemporary life. Through storytelling, workshops, and codified mythologies, we reconnect communities with African systems of justice, beauty, and belonging.
This was born from the work of Afrodeities.org, and the CIC will carry out the mission conceived in the building of it.
Our tools include:
– The Afrodeities Codex (foundational myth volumes)
– The Correctives (narrative overlays to restore truth)
– The Connectives (diasporic bridges across space and time)
– Public storytelling events, learning resources, and archival fragments
Together, these tools help build a civic memory strong enough to hold the past and imagine the future.
Our Work is for You
At The Afrodeities Institute, we don’t create for an audience — we create with a purpose. Our programmes, codices, and cultural tools are designed for the people who carry the memory, the people who need the repair, and the people building what comes next.
For Youth
To give them mythic roots and global imagination. Our workshops and curricula reframe African heritage as power, not deficit.
Schools & Educators
To bring civic, ecological, and mythic learning into classrooms, assemblies, and cultural programming.
Elders & Community Historians
To honour their memory, document their stories, and give them space in the public record.
Diaspora Families & Cultural Orgs
To build connective tissue between the UK, Nigeria, Brazil, Haiti, the Caribbean, the U.S., and beyond.
Funders & Institutions
To offer bold, structured, high-impact projects that restore, reimagine, and regenerate cultural futures with measurable outcomes and living impact.
Partners
We offer co-hosted workshops, codex readings, myth-corrective panels, creative sessions, and living archive collaborations — shaped to your community’s needs and narratives.
Institutions, Writers, & Collaborators
